Portfolio - Improvement

Over the past two years, I have learned so much. In Freshman year and Sophomore year, two years with Ms. Priester. It amazes me how fast time flies, it is also saddens me. We learned how to write many different kind of essays. Freshman year, nothing but paper. Sophomore year, paperless!
My writing skills before high school was not great at all, I felt like the teachers could not explain how to write my essays, or even write. I remember getting very frustrated, sitting there trying to fix my format and especially my grammar. I would get a D of a C on my writing essays. Now they have changed since I have stepped into high school. I learned the right way! My grammar has become way better, my essay actually makes sense now, and there is actually a point being proven.
I also worked hard on my writing skills, almost everyday in Freshman year I would write in my journal. My spelling has always been very good, so I did not have to worry about that. To be honest, my reading skills were better in Freshman year than Sophomore year. I have been slacking on reading lately, but I am going to start reading a lot of books this Summer vacation. My reading skills now, sometimes makes me nervous. I get nervous to read out loud in class, because I haven’t read out loud in so long. I am going to improve my reading skills before Junior year hits.
My speaking skills before high school was okay, I was a little shy to present in front of my classmates. Such as, I would stutter, and fidget a lot, and I would just randomly speak to fast. Now, my speaking skills are very good, I speak with confidence now. Although, I like to talk fast most of the time and overlap my words; I still speak better than before. I think the reason I improve now, is because I know I am in high school and there would be a lot of presentations. To where I have to speak a lot, eventually I got comfortable and just went with the flow.
My group-work skills before high school were actually pretty decent. In a group we listen, talk, shared, and not only that we took turns and were respectful to one another. Now, they are more playing around. But, we still get our work done before class ends also. The reason why I don’t think it improve is because we are more of wanting to have fun, and more chatting with each other in a group-work. I had no technology skills what so ever. The only thing I knew how to do educationally on the computer is, typing in Microsoft Word, and emailing. Now my technology skills are incredible, thanks to Ms. Priester. The reason why I improve was because of Ms. Priester, I learned how to do so much things, it is ridiculous. So many things I have learned in two years, just of technology.
In order to continue to improve my academic skills during the next two years and beyond, is that I will take what I learned from my teacher and use it. I will also learn on my own how to do other things too, because of knowing technology now will help in the future forever. I do want to give a big thanks to Ms. Priester.

Portfolio - Future

The way I feel about my future is great, confident.  My goals in the future is to go to College for four years if I am capable, work with NASCAR; if it happens. If it does not happen, I have other goals and plans. Such as being a Photographer, and or, Flight Attendant. I do not have a previous experience to help me reach my dream for NASCAR, but I will soon to meet with Lynn St. James crew. They would like to see if I have potential into a racing career, if I do; they would like to train me. So, they would be testing my driving skills in a low car first. I am super excited! I am not putting my hopes up to high because I know given opportunities, do not always work. But I also would not give up. My previous experiences that have helped me to prepare for my other goals is Photography. I own two cameras, I wish I own a professional one though. But, I have practiced taking a lot of pictures, and I also enjoy taking pictures a lot. I have also been in Photography class, for quite some time. Wanting to be a flight Attendant always seemed fun to me. The uniforms, just the professional look, and being able to travel everywhere. Plus, I love being on a plane. My number one goal in the future is to get into NASCAR one day, for me to continue to work on in order to achieve my goal. I will, do whatever it takes to get notice and drive a lot and become unafraid, I will continue to get more information also, join groups ETC. Currently the person who is helping me achieve my goal is my lovely CASA, Mary Fipp. She is so wonderful, not only because of the hook up she had given me. But also, she has always been there for me, she had and has big hopes for me, supported me in whatever I did, and cared for me like no one ever had before. Like I said earlier, I do not know if my dreams will come true, not too much of a high hope, but I will never give up.

Playwrights Project Play Performance Paragraph

If could only choose one word to describe how I felt during the performances is, excitement. The reason why I felt this way is because each little play/scene, has never made me feel bored. I was so into it, even though I was tired it kept me wide awake. It made me wanted to go up there an act! Although, I know I cannot act well at all. The actors were so good! Especially Steven,  he was my favorite actor, and the other guy; I do not know his name. This experience impacted me because  got to hear other peoples stories, it was very touching.
