“The Highwayman” and “Typhoid Fever” Comparison
In “The Highwayman” to the characters in “Typhoid Fever", Patricia and the landlord's daughter both died at the end of the story. Landlord's daughter name Bess could not talk to her friend just like how Patricia couldn't talk to Frankie. Bess was trying to warn the red-coats were in her house, trying to save a love one. For example, in the story "The Highwayman", Bess could not get away she either had to die with a gun pointed at her. In "Typhoid Fever", Patricia talks to Frankie when she knew she wasn't allowed to and she died from her disease she had. Frank should hear the end of "The Highwayman" because he would understand why Patricia died. In both stories they were in love with two guys.

“’Typhoid Fever’– Present Tense Childhood Memory.”
I am 7 years old and it is a Saturday morning. I am walking with my grandpa around the neighborhood looking for cans to make money. My grandpa asked, “Why do you always wake up so early to come with me”? I said, “I like spending time with you”. We are both walking to a huge green sticky garbage can, there is cans, plastic bottles, and glass bottles on the ground. I jump and jump and couldn`t see inside the trashcan. my grandpa looked in and said, “There`s a lot of cans on one side; and trash is on the other side, isn`t that a little weird”? I think to myself, “hmmm that's weird, it`s like someone did it for us”. Reaching in with the picker-upper and moving things around. My grandpa was reaching for a can below and couldn`t see, all of a sudden a man`s voice yells; “Hey! What are you doing?!”. My grandpa and I step back. There he was, a homeless guy sleeping in a trashcan. He just stared at us and said, “You pinch me”. I laughed. My grandpa didn`t understand what the homeless guy was saying, I then translate. My grandpas ask me to ask him if he wants those cans, and the homeless guy said, “Oh, no. I am fine, I don`t want it”. My grandpa apologizes and we said goodbye. Walking up the hill on our way back home, we laugh and laugh.

“’The Storyteller’ - Memorable Books from My Childhood.”
1.)Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak**
2.)Clifford, the Big Red Dog by Norman Bridwell *
3.)The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle***
4.)Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see? by Bill Martin, Jr.****
5.)Corduroy by Don Freeman*****

4.)Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see? by Bill Martin, Jr.****
5.)Corduroy by Don Freeman*****
The book call Corduroy by Don Freeman was my favorite book when I was younger. Corduroy is the bears name, he is lonely and sad because no one would buy him. No one would buy him because he has a missing button. While Corduroy searches everywhere for his button, he finds a little girl who wants him but not his button. Corduroy did not find his button but found someone who loves him for who he is, even though he has a missing button. This book captured my interest because you don`t have to fix your personality or looks for someone to love you. They should love you for who you`re, just like Corduroy; you just have to be patient.
“Cafeteria Line from Different Points of View.”
First-Person Narration (A stern cook)
Those ungrateful kids! They don`t appreciate anything! I cook them food and they decide to throw it at each other. After that, I have to clean the cafeteria all day when I can be at home with my wife and kids.
Third-Person-limited Narration (Playful student)
I am so angry! I`m going to put food in her backpack and throw milk in her face! When I am done with that, she is going to give me her money for tomorrow`s lunch.
Omniscient Narration (hungry student)
I can see the stern cook getting angry and the annoying playful student putting food in the girl`s backpack. Everyone is getting irritated including me, and especially the stern cook.

“Chilean Miners Rescue."
The Chilean rescue, what is that all about? Well, in Chile there was 33 miners that were trapped in a mine. Many rocks, dirt felled and caved them in; making it even harder to try to get out. They were rescued on October 13, 2010 and back home safely with their family. When I found out about it I felt stunned. Finding out that they are safe now and getting help from the medical center gave me a huge relief. If they were my family members, I would be devastated. If I was in the miners place I don`t think I would be alive, I would lose hope. I would feel so mad at myself because I`m not afraid of dying, but I am afraid the state in leaving my love ones by dying. I am so happy that they are now safe in their homes with their family.

Essay Reflection Paragraph
My opinion on my Autobiographical Narrative essay I wrote was great, but I know I could have done better. I should have add more excitement into it. I also forget to include a flashback in one of my paragraphs. When I was picking a topic to write for my essay, I couldn't`t think of one except the day I spent with my ex-boyfriend. It was very special, I can even brag about also. I remember ho many people told me that I was so lucky. I knew I was, I`m glad I have memories wit him, and I still do but as friends only. That's all that matters, because when the people change; the memories stays the same.

Sweet Dreams.
Most of my days are surround by his endless need for me to sing to him and cater to him.
It’s exhausting, but if you were me exhausting isn’t a bad thing.
I truly enjoy every diaper change, every fussing, and kicking I get from my little monster.
See, I knew what I was getting myself into, but after all the books I’ve read and articles and questions that has been answered, nothing prepared me for this.
Every night after he falls asleep I sit there dazzled and in awe by this remarkable gift. He is truly the epitome of our (my husband and I) love. I never knew I could love someone this much.
There is no need for anyone to tell me “sweet dreams” because I don’t think any dream could make this moment any sweeter than it is right now. (:
Goodnight and to those who are still dreaming, I hope one day those sweet dreams will be as sweet as the nights you’ve been waiting for.

Home Sweet Home.
And when I say home I mean the smell of my mom’s cooking in the late afternoon when she just got home from work and the loud Cambodian karaoke music blasting from the television set.
It’s been too long since I’ve moved out. It was so easy then wanting to spread my wings and fly away, but now, now I really miss the innocent carefree teenage life. I even miss the noisy neighbors where everyone who knows anyone gossips.
I just miss my mom period.
We talk once a week, but its been so long since I’ve actually seen her. I miss how she’d try to give me advice on boys and the way she would try and push my buttons and giving me lectures on who I am. Psh, like she really knows, haha.
But in the end, I do miss home.

Random.
I’ve been staring at this empty document for a while now, not knowing what I should write. There’s so many things on my mind, but I don’t want to overflow this page with random thoughts.
I’ll try to make this short as possible.
Winter is near. I can almost feel the cold winter breeze against my skin like last year. But this year will be different. I won’t be waking up in his arms and I won’t be standing at my window drinking hot chocolate while watching the snow fall on his face as he shovel the snow from our sidewalk.
It will be another white Christmas, but some where far away it’s just another sand storm that wait for them in the morning.
The only thing that makes this enduring is the one laying beside me with his bottle in his mouth.
As fast as winter comes, spring will be near. And when spring comes, I will be waiting for his return.
