APA Format

I am writing on how to use APA format in your research paper. Citing a source means to take the person name who said or wrote it to show proof from where you seen or heard it from. Such as dates and the author`s name. A writer needs to cite a source when something is said by someone and is a fact that is true and to that shows that it was said by someone else and not yourself. What the writer needs to do differently when citing a source that is a direct quote versus summarized text is to put in quotations marks around it and from who said it. If is said as a summarized text put in parentheses ( ) or either brackets, [ ]. A reference page is a page that shows all your sources to which you got from to write your research paper. The things that are included to making a reference page is that it is by making a list. I will use APA format style because includes quoting, references, and citing. To get above grade level you must have that kind of format.

Example of in-text-citations:

He had a very deprived childhood being put into St. Mary’s and he really just wanted to try everything there was. He wanted to get enough to eat so he felt full...and wanted to have enough to drink so that he felt good. (Ruth Stevens, 1925.)

My Close Friend Blue Monkey

My blue monkey is my comfort and I need him when I cry. I got it from a friend A.K.A. Dadtty. I was so excited when I got him, I sleep with him every night and I cried on him a lot. Prom!

Prom was not all that fun until I danced. My friends and I taken a lot of pictures, especially in the bathroom. I danced with mostly Jessica the whole entire night until the end. The people who were sitting at my table was Coach Manning, Coach Diane, Jessica, Adolfo, Lizbeth, Jason, Candy, Lebari, and last Ms. Priester joined us. Ms. Priester look so pretty! It was pretty hard to dance with my long dress but the dress was worth it. I didn`t plan on wearing pink and black but it turned out great. I had somewhat A little fun when prom was almost over, my last dance was something special.

Blog Value

There are many benefits of using a blog, especially in school. Some beneficial of using a blog in school are that we learn more on our typing skills for the students who lacks of experience in technology such as computers. Learning how to communicate with others and our writing will get better everyday. They become very professional, instead of writing down stuff and losing them you can have them on a blog. Everybody can see it and learn from it too. It is great to have a blog where you can share and it is also a lot fun.

I am writing to you about our school rules. Since you are the principal, you have the power to help change rules.

 

I would like the dress code changed. I understand that cleavage, sagging pants, short skirts and short shorts are unacceptable. Tank tops should be allowed to be worn. Summer is coming soon and I think female students would feel, more comfortable if they could wear tank tops. I believe it is possible to wear a tank top that does not show cleavage and would not violate the dress code.
